Landfill Gas Investigations & Risk Assessments

Potentially hazardous ground gases are produced as a consequence of landfilling and waste disposal processes and can adversely impact human health and environmental health.

A Landfill Gas Risk Assessment is required when development is occurring within a specified buffer zone surrounding a current or historical landfill. This is usually requested during the Development Application (DA) process.
