The initial phase involved a Destructive Hazardous Materials Survey to identify and assess the risks associated with hazardous building materials on the site. Through meticulous inspections, Nova Group Pacific uncovered the presence of Synthetic Mineral Fibres, Polychlorinated Biphenyls, and Ozone Depleting Substances in sections of the buildings and surrounding areas.
Preliminary Site Investigation:
Nova Group Pacific conducted a Preliminary Site Investigation to gather data on potential contamination in shallow soils, crucial for proposed excavation works. Despite background metal detects, no exceedances were noted against the adopted criteria, indicating low contamination impacts and obviating the need for a Detailed Site Investigation.
Acid Sulfate Soil Investigation:
An Acid Sulfate Soil Investigation was undertaken to determine the presence of Acid Sulfate Soils (ASS) and the necessity for an Acid Sulfate Soil Management Plan.
